Securing Internet Routing - The Puzzle Pieces
BGP mishaps are very common and frighteningly very easy with route leaks, hijacks and misoriginations galore every year. There are many tools and ideas to help prevent false/wrong information being injected into the global routing system. But the never ending array of tools/mechanisms is confounding many network engineers, whose primary tasks is to operate and manage their network. This talk is an attempt to demystify and review the practicality of the various tools/techniques available (or are being proposed) to secure the Internet routing.
